Geoff Poon, Architect-Designer
Trained at The Bartlett (UCL) and The Architectural Association School of Architecture, Geoff Poon began his architectural journey designing buildings before designing "spiritual" clothing. Between 2002
, Poon worked at Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects (AHMM) in London, redesigning the Barbican Arts Centre, and completed an urban renewal project converting abandoned industrial warehouses into office communes for the creative industry. He joined Ronald Lu & Partners upon returning to Hong Kong in 2005
before co-founding an interior design firm Urban Anchor Ltd in 2006
. In 2010, in parallel with his design work, Poon's vision of seeing fashion not simply as wearables, but a canvas to boldly and playfully express spiritual truths, compelled him to co-found a fashion label AMENPAPA. Poon has developed AMENPAPA from a weekend hobby into a fashion brand retailed at over fourty stores across Asia, with distributing partners such as Harvey Nichols and Galeries Lafayette. He is driven by a child-like desire to create things that matter to the Spirit, while having fun doing it.
